Soccer Athletic Training

One eight week Soccer Athletic Training session is the equivalent of a season's worth of practice. Our comprehensive drills will improve your touch on the ball, develop your dribbling, trapping, passing, and shooting skills. We also work on building agility and strength through stretching and fitness. So whether you are a seasoned veteran looking for a tune up or a beginner interested in exploring a new sport all skill levels are welcome at MVP's SAT Academy!

Each weekly training session will last approximately 90 minutes. The sessions include structured drills and exercises focusing on conditioning, technical skills, and game play. We will conclude with a scrimmage for anyone with excess energy!

Coach Alec Main


• Alec is a British coach with experience playing at the amateur and professional levels in the UK. He signed with Scottish clubs Partick Thistle and Queens Park.
• Alec holds a Scottish Football Association (SFA) Level 1 Club Coaching License.
• He is a FIFA approved SFA Referee.
• He is also certified by the Red Cross in First Aid and CPR.

Week 1 Passing - Develop touches of the ball

Week 2 Dribbling - Develop deception & feints, player awareness

Week 3 Shooting - Develop receiving & shooting for goal

Week 4 Attacking - Develop movement & change of direction

Week 5 Defending - Develop defensive position and posture

Week 6 Ball Control - Develop ball trapping techniques

Week 7 Ball Control - Develop ball touches, speed, & turns

Week 8 Heading - Develop proper heading techniques
