Directions & Parking
From the North
(Clifton Park, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Plattsburgh, etc.)
- Take I-87 South (The Northway) to Exit 7.
- Merge onto NY-7 East toward Troy/Cohoes.
- Merge onto I-787 South toward Albany, follow this road approx. 7.5 miles.
- Take Exit 3B for Madison Ave/Port of Albany.
- Bear right at third light (South End Grocery is on the corner) onto South Pearl St.
- MVP Arena is on the left.
From the South
(NYC, Poughkeepsie, Hudson, Long Island, etc.)
- Take I-87 North (NY State Thruway) to Exit 23.
- Merge onto I-787 North toward Downtown Albany/Rensselaer/Troy.
- Take Exit 4 for US-9 N./US-20 W. Keep right at the fork in the ramp.
- Turn left, then make a right turn onto Broadway.
- Turn left onto Hudson Ave.
- Turn right onto S. Pearl St./NY-32.
From the East
(Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, etc.)
- Take I-90 West (Mass. Turnpike) to the Albany exit.
- Continue on I-90 West to I-787.
- Merge onto I-787 South toward Albany/Rensselaer.
- Take Exit 3B for Madison Ave/Port of Albany.
- Bear right at third light (South End Grocery is on the corner) onto South Pearl St.
- MVP Arena is on the left
From the West
(Schenectady, Amsterdam, Binghamton, Buffalo, etc.)
- Take I-90 East (NY State Thruway) to Exit 24 (Albany).
- Continue on I-90 East to I-787.
- Merge onto I-787 South toward Albany/Rensselaer.
- Take Exit 3B for Madison Ave/Port of Albany.
- Bear right at third light (South End Grocery is on the corner) onto South Pearl St.
- MVP Arena is on the left
Coming in from out of town? Consider taking Amtrak to the Albany-Rensselaer station (ALB)!
Parking Information
The physical address of MVP Arena is 51 South Pearl St., Albany, NY 12207. The MVP Parking Garage is located behind and attached to MVP Arena. Entrances can be accessed from either Market St. or Beaver St.
Parking Facilities Around MVP Arena
MVP Arena manages a parking garage--easily accessible via Market St.--behind and attached to MVP Arena. $8 daily parking (event rates vary). Cash and cards accepted. Hours of Operation for Daily Parking
7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday. Monthly parkers have access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Street Parking
Street parking is typically available on nights and weekends. MVP Arena has no control over the prices charged on the street or at unaffiliated parking garages. Those prices are set by the independent companies that manage the garages.
Metered parking spaces within the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District boundaries are free after 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and all day on weekends and major national holidays.
Street parking in downtown Albany is managed by the Albany Parking Authority (518.434.8886). Please be sure to take note of the zone and parking regulations signs in the area you are parked in.
Parking Access for Mobility-Impaired Persons
Handicap parking is available at surrounding parking garages. If walking is difficult, it is suggested that a mobility impaired patron be dropped off in front of MVP Arena.
