Know Before You Go
Welcome! Here is what you can expect when visiting us:

Bag Policy:
CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” will be allowed. Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a hand) will be allowed and do not need to be clear. Larger and other types of bags are prohibited.
There are no restrictions on the style of bag as long as it does not exceed the maximum size allowed.
There is no storage or check-in for prohibited bags. For patrons with young children in attendance, diaper bags are allowed and subject to search.
Parking:
MVP Arena Parking Garage is located behind and attached to MVP Arena. Use 1 Market St, Albany, NY 12207 for GPS. We do not sell or accept advance parking passes.
For events, rates generally vary $15-$25 per vehicle (6'6" clearance). Visit your event page closer to the show date for event specific pricing. Cash, cards, and tap to pay are accepted methods of payment. Rates charged at surrounding garages and lots may differ and are not controlled by MVP Arena.
If parking in MVP Arena Parking Garage, use the arena entrance located on level 3.

Stroller Policy:
Guests are strongly discouraged from bringing strollers. If you must bring one, please be advised there will be designated stroller parking areas located just before reaching the security checkpoint. You will not be able to bring your stroller past the checkpoint or into the seating area of the arena.
Prohibited Items:
The following items, including but not limited to, are prohibited:
- outside food and beverage
- professional cameras
- video/audio recorders including GoPro and stick style HD cameras
- umbrellas
- weapons of any kind
- backpacks
- glass items
- lasers and glow sticks
- ipads/tablets/laptops
- fireworks
- banners on poles
- selfie sticks

Concessions:
Concessions do not accept cash. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Tap to Pay are accepted. Please be advised, outside food and beverages are prohibited.
Visit the Broadview Reverse ATM, located on the concourse near Section 126, to exchange cash for a Mastercard prepaid card. Cash must be converted to a prepaid card for use at concession and merchandise stands.
There is no activation fee. Cards may be issued in amounts from $20 to $500; the first bill inserted must be $20 or larger, followed by any denomination. A digital receipt will be sent via text message. Any remaining balance can be used anywhere Marstercard is accepted.
Box Office Hours:
Standard Box Office hours are Monday-Friday 10am-4pm. The Box Office is open later and on weekends if there is a ticketed event taking place. View our Box Office Hours page for upcoming special hours.
Mobile Tickets:
Security will scan your ticket directly from your phone. We highly encourage you to add your ticket to your digital wallet for quicker access and to avoid weak Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If attending with others, you can transfer each person their ticket in advance to ensure swift entry.
Note: Your barcode includes technology to protect it. You will not be able to use a screenshot or print out. Barcodes do time out. It is recommended you open your tickets upon approaching security.
Pumping & Nursing:
MVP Arena is proud to offer a Mamava lactation pod to provide a private, comfortable space for breastfeeding parents to pump or nurse. Brought to you by Albany County and MVP Health Care, the Mamava lactation pod is located on the atrium landing just outside the doors near sections 101/130. Need to step out to use the pod? Please let Security at that door know that you will be using the pod so you can return inside easily. Having trouble finding it? Soft sided cooler bags and pumping equipment are allowed and subject to inspection. We do not have refrigeration or storage options.
